Rutland Headshot Studio is a small studio with a big lighting rig, run by photographer James Richardson.
Most people dread having their photo taken. We think it should be the most fun you have all week. So we play music, coach every expression, light you properly and show you the results as we go.
Why all the colour?
Coloured gels are a lighting trick borrowed from theatre and music videos. They add depth and make a headshot memorable. If colour is not your thing, we shoot classic backdrops too.
Much in little
Rutland is England’s smallest county, and its motto is multum in parvo: much in little. A good headshot does the same job, packing a lot of you into one small picture.
